Delta’s Atlanta–Marrakech Nonstop Returns October 26: The 2026 Schedule

Delta’s seasonal nonstop between Atlanta and Marrakech is returning next week, with the first west-to-east flight confirmed for Monday, October 26, 2026, and the first Marrakech departure confirmed for Tuesday, October 27. This is a resumption after the route’s summer pause—not the launch of a new connection—and it restores a direct link between Menara Airport and Delta’s Atlanta hub.

A live check of Delta’s booking engine on October 19 showed DL186 available nonstop from Atlanta at 9:45 p.m. on October 26, arriving in Marrakech at 9:55 a.m. the following morning. The reverse flight, DL187, was bookable from Marrakech at 11:50 a.m. on October 27, arriving in Atlanta at 5:59 p.m. local time.

That carrier-level confirmation matters because recent headlines have sometimes compressed the return dates of multiple US routes into a single line. For passengers, the useful dates are the departure dates: October 26 from Atlanta and October 27 from Marrakech.

The operating pattern

Current published schedule data shows three flights a week in each direction. DL186 is listed from Atlanta on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. DL187 is listed from Marrakech on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The pattern reflects the overnight Atlantic crossing from the United States: the Monday Atlanta departure lands in Morocco on Tuesday morning, when the aircraft is scheduled to operate back to Atlanta.

For the opening week, that produces Atlanta departures on October 26, 28 and 30, followed by Marrakech departures on October 27, 29 and 31. The timetable database continues to display the seasonal pattern into early May 2027, but that should be treated as a planning horizon rather than a guarantee: airlines can change operating days, times and the end of a season.

The initial timings are straightforward for travellers. DL186 is an overnight flight, leaving Atlanta late in the evening and reaching Marrakech in the morning. DL187 is a late-morning departure from Marrakech and arrives in Atlanta the same calendar day. The published elapsed times are about eight hours ten minutes eastbound and ten hours nine minutes westbound, with the difference largely reflecting winds.

What has changed since the route launched

Delta inaugurated Atlanta–Marrakech on October 25, 2025. In its original announcement, the airline described the service as its first route to Morocco, scheduled three times weekly, and highlighted connections at Atlanta from more than 125 US cities. The October 2026 return therefore begins the route’s second winter season.

The aircraft detail deserves caution. Delta’s 2025 launch announcement specified a Boeing 767-400ER. Current schedule data for the 2026–27 season lists a Boeing 767-300. That may reflect an equipment change, and aircraft substitutions remain possible even after booking. Travellers choosing a fare for a particular seat, cabin or accessibility feature should check the actual seat map attached to their flight rather than rely on the original launch publicity.

Why the resumed nonstop matters

The route removes a European connection for travellers whose journeys begin in Atlanta or feed into Delta’s hub. That can simplify an itinerary to Marrakech, but it does not make every US origin a one-stop journey automatically: connection availability depends on the domestic schedule, minimum connecting time and whether the flights are sold on one ticket.

For Marrakech residents and visitors returning to the United States, the nonstop also avoids a transfer in Europe. Passengers still need to satisfy the entry, passport and transit rules that apply to their own nationality and itinerary, and should allow time for US immigration and customs formalities on arrival in Atlanta.

Delta is not the only carrier linking Marrakech directly with the United States. United’s Newark service is a separate route with a different timetable and season. MarrakechSouks has a separate guide to United’s extended Newark–Marrakech schedule; the two services should not be treated as interchangeable when comparing dates.

Booking and travel checks

Search by the flight numbers—DL186 from Atlanta and DL187 from Marrakech—and confirm that the result is marked nonstop. Codeshare and connecting itineraries can also appear in airline search results. Check the local departure date carefully: the first confirmed Atlanta flight is October 26, while the first confirmed Marrakech flight is October 27.

Recheck the schedule shortly before travel and again on the day of departure. The times in this report were visible in Delta’s booking engine on October 19, 2026, and are not a promise that the airline will operate every flight exactly as first scheduled. Fares, cabin availability and aircraft assignments can change independently of the route’s published operating pattern.

Important check-in rule at Marrakech

Delta’s current Marrakech airport advisory says digital boarding passes are not accepted at Menara because of local rules. Delta tells passengers departing Marrakech to arrive four hours before departure so they can obtain printed passes at the airline counter. The advisory is dated September 10, 2026; travellers should recheck it before leaving for the airport in case the rule or recommended arrival time changes.

Delta’s separate international check-in table currently lists a 90-minute minimum check-in/security cutoff at RAK, both with and without checked bags. That is a cutoff, not an arrival recommendation. For a Delta departure from Marrakech, follow the stricter four-hour guidance and do not rely on a phone boarding pass.

Delta Air Lines’ original route announcement established the October 2025 launch, three-weekly plan, Atlanta connection strategy and original 767-400ER aircraft specification.
