Riad Beij has opened in Marrakech’s Mouassine quarter, adding a small new address to one of the Medina’s best-known areas for galleries, shops and historic riads. Current opening coverage dates its debut to September 1, 2026, after an eight-month restoration, while the riad’s official website is now taking reservation requests.

The property has six rooms and suites. Its own website presents the house as a restored Medina residence shaped by Moroccan craft, including tadelakt, zellige and carved cedar made with local artisans.

The accommodation ranges from a 20-square-metre double room to larger deluxe and junior-suite categories, with the biggest prestige junior suite listed at 50 square metres. The scale is deliberately small, making the property closer to an intimate guesthouse than a large hotel.

Riad Beij also offers hammam, massage and treatment services through a partnership with Maison du Tuina. The official site says its table serves Moroccan food built around seasonal ingredients, with lunch and dinner available by reservation.

The riad is located on Derb El Arsa in the Medina. Its published terms list check-in from 2:00 p.m. and check-out by noon. Reservations can be requested directly through the property.

For visitors who specifically want to stay inside the Medina, the opening is notable because it adds another very small, design-conscious option in Mouassine rather than on the outskirts of Marrakech.
