Marrakech Train Station Will Become a Giant Digital Projection Canvas on November 21

Marrakech railway station is set to become the backdrop for a large-scale digital projection on November 21 as part of the Institut français du Maroc's Novembre numérique programme.
The project will use monumental mapping to place digital art across the station facade, with the Marrakech edition built around sport and the city's own visual identity.

A one-night digital art intervention at the station
The Institut français says the Marrakech presentation will take place at the railway station on November 21. Filmmaker Sylvain Pouillart is named for the visual creation, with sound by Géraldine Kwik.
Marrakech is one of seven Moroccan cities included in the monumental mapping programme, which is being developed with Rencontres Audiovisuelles de Lille. Four of the selected sites are railway stations.
Each city is receiving a different audiovisual work inspired by its own sporting history and local champions, rather than one identical projection touring the country.
Part of Novembre numérique
The station projection forms part of Novembre numérique, the Institut français' annual programme devoted to digital culture. The wider 2026 programme includes immersive performance, audiovisual work, digital art and interactive formats across Morocco.
For Marrakech visitors, the station event is notable because it places a temporary cultural installation in a transport hub that many travelers already use during a trip to the city.
