Met Opera’s Così fan tutte Screens in Marrakech This Saturday

Mozart’s Così fan tutte will be transmitted live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York to Marrakech this Saturday, October 3, as the Association des Amis de la Musique de Marrakech opens the opera portion of its 2026 and 2027 season.

The Marrakech transmission begins at 16:55 in the Pierre Bergé Auditorium at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech. The association confirms that this season’s Met Opera, ballet and theatre transmissions are being hosted at the auditorium.

Tickets are 400 MAD for non-members

For the 2026 and 2027 season, the association lists opera tickets at 300 MAD for members and 400 MAD for non-members. Tickets can be booked online, and the association says tickets for operas, ballets and theatre performances are also available one hour before the transmission at the Pierre Bergé Auditorium.

The first of several Met Opera dates in Marrakech

Così fan tutte is the first of a substantial run of live Met Opera transmissions announced for Marrakech this season. Macbeth follows on October 17, with further operas scheduled in December, January, March, April and June.

That makes the October 3 screening useful not only as a standalone event but also as the start of a recurring classical-music programme for visitors and English-speaking residents who may not otherwise realize that major international opera transmissions are shown regularly in Marrakech.

About Così fan tutte

Mozart’s two-act opera follows two young officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo, whose confidence in their fiancées is tested after a wager with the cynical Don Alfonso. The comedy develops through disguises, mistaken identities and a deliberately uncomfortable examination of love, loyalty and human vanity.
