Explore the historic souk district of the Marrakech medina with an official licensed guide who brings deep knowledge of the craft, trade history, and artisan culture behind every quarter. From the textile gateway of Souk Semmarine to the spice and perfume stalls of Souk el Attarine, the wood and metal workshops of Souk Chouari and Haddadine, and the leather cobblers of Souk Smata, you'll watch master craftsmen, the maallem, work using techniques passed down through generations and largely unchanged for five centuries. Available as a 4-hour half-day or 8-hour full-day private tour (the full day adds the carpet and textile merchants, the musical instrument souk, a traditional riad lunch, and the evening transformation of Jemaa el-Fna).
