Um Mami Opens Its Sidi Ghanem Kitchen for a Sourdough Baking Class on October 10

Um Mami by Melting Pot is opening its Sidi Ghanem kitchen for a hands-on sourdough baking class on Saturday, October 10.

The class starts at 10:00 and is designed for both beginners and people who already bake at home. Participants will work through the sourdough process, learn different baking techniques and prepare several bakes rather than simply watch a demonstration.

Lunch and a starter are included

The published price is 495 MAD per person and includes a shared lunch. Participants also leave with their own sourdough starter so they can continue baking after the class.

Places are limited. Um Mami’s official channels currently list the October 10 Baking Class, while the booking information gives the Sidi Ghanem address as 51 bis and the session as running from 10:00 to 14:00.

Part of a wider training project

Um Mami describes itself as a culinary hub built around food experiences, youth training, catering and cooking classes. That gives the workshop a different character from a standard tourist cooking class: the experiences also sit alongside its training work with young people entering hospitality.
