Marrakech Menara Airport Included in New Automatic Doors and Gates Project
Marrakech Menara Airport is included in a current ONDA procurement for new automatic doors, motorized gates and automatic barriers, adding another passenger-facing element to the airport’s ongoing modernization programme.

What ONDA is buying
Tender 145/26/AOO/ONDA covers three Moroccan airports. Lot 1 is Marrakech Menara, with separate lots for Oujda Angads and Rabat Salé. The procurement calls for the supply, installation and commissioning of automatic doors, motorized gates and automatic barriers.
The timetable
The tender was published in September and the procurement record was modified on October 2, 2026. The current deadline for bids is October 27 at 10:00. A tender is not the same thing as completed work, so travelers should not expect new equipment to be operating immediately.
Why it matters for Marrakech
The procurement is modest compared with Marrakech Menara’s larger terminal and airfield projects, but it is relevant to the passenger experience because it concerns physical access and movement infrastructure. It also adds to a broader series of upgrades taking place at the airport as Marrakech’s international connectivity expands.
MarrakechSouks will update this story if ONDA announces the contract award or a commissioning timetable for the Marrakech equipment.
