El Fenn Unveils Four Newly Refurbished Cosy Rooms in the Marrakech Medina
El Fenn has completed a new look for four of its Cosy rooms in the Marrakech Medina, giving some of the hotel’s smallest bedrooms a fresh interiors treatment built around bold colour, art and Moroccan craftsmanship.

The four rooms sit in what El Fenn calls Vanessa’s riad, a section that was once a separate house before being connected to the wider hotel after an adjoining plot was acquired.
Four rooms, each treated as its own composition
El Fenn says the redesign began with art and colour, with creative director Yann Dobry developing individual schemes rather than applying one identical look across the rooms.
The new interiors play with scale and layering, combining artworks, furniture, textiles and decorative references drawn from North Africa and the Middle East.
That matters because these are not the hotel’s grandest suites. The Cosy category is intentionally smaller, so the redesign is about making a compact room feel considered rather than simply filling it with more objects.
A useful update for travelers comparing El Fenn room categories
For visitors looking at El Fenn for an upcoming Marrakech stay, the change is practical as well as visual: photographs and descriptions of older Cosy-room interiors may no longer represent the current look of these four rooms.
The hotel has not described the project as a new wing or an increase in room count. It is a refurbishment of existing rooms within Vanessa’s riad.
El Fenn keeps leaning into design as part of the stay
El Fenn has long positioned art, colour and Moroccan craft as part of the hotel experience rather than background decoration. The property’s spaces combine contemporary and vintage furniture with traditional materials and a private art collection.
The refreshed Cosy rooms continue that approach at the smallest end of the hotel’s room range, which makes the update relevant for travelers who want the El Fenn aesthetic without necessarily booking one of the larger suites.
What is confirmed
El Fenn published the refurbishment update on October 1, 2026. The project covers four Cosy rooms in Vanessa’s riad at the hotel in the Marrakech Medina.
Travelers should check El Fenn’s current booking pages for live room availability and rates, which vary by date and category.
